Synopsis
The Seven Points is a law enforcement memoir comprised of striking incidents that occurred to the writer throughout a 30 year career in law enforcement. While the memoir is focused on the life of the writer, it is also a story about his friends, his co-workers, brother and sister officers, and some of the criminals involved in several significant, and sometimes abhorrent, crimes. Uniquely, this memoir provides a snapshot of the people – even some of the criminals – involved in these events. The reader can see the humanity and the vulnerability of both law enforcement officers and criminals, which ultimately shows the good and bad of the players from both sides of the law. Finally, the story reveals a singular truth that death follows all of us and that it can happen early and unexpectedly.
