Author Bio

Christopher Cook serves as a Police Chief for a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas, a city of 21,000 residents. With three decades of experience in law enforcement, Christopher served as a Deputy Police Chief for Arlington, Texas. During his tenure as the chief spokesperson, Christopher also was the President of the National Information Officers Association, Chair of the Major Cities Chiefs Association Public Information Officer’s Committee, and the Chair of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Public Information Officer’s Section. He is best known for his contributions in the field of police-media relations and community engagement. Chief Cook currently serves on the Caruth Police Institute Executive Advisory Board in Dallas, the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration Advisory Board in Plano, and the Executive Board of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Command Course Association.
